Despite the storm, Jesus was asleep, completely at peace. The disciples, terrified, woke Him and asked, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” Jesus got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” The wind died down, and it was completely calm. He then asked His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
This story illustrates the power of faith in the midst of fear and uncertainty. The disciples were focused on the storm, but Jesus was focused on His Father’s will. He knew that God was in control, and He demonstrated that faith by calming the storm. As you meditate on this story, ask yourself: What “storms” are you facing in your financial life? How can you trust God to calm those storms and bring peace to your situation? Remember, Jesus is with you in the boat, and He has the power to bring calm to your financial challenges.
